Hogwash Farm

I have seen Hogwash Farm at the Norwich Farmer's Market for a few years now, occasionally purchasing their products. Easter snuck up on us and my husband asked me had I purchased the Lamb? Not only hadn't I, but a quick perusal of the local grocery stores revealed that none was to be had. It occurred to me I had seen it advertised at Hogwash. Their website said they had a small amount that usually went to their csa. A drive out to their stand yielded a small leg, perfect for us. I was so relieved . . .phew. I was very impressed by their self service stand, so well organized and labelled. I am now considering joining their csa. While we were there, I purchased some nitrite free bacon and some sausage, too!

We went to check it out and no one was outside to help. We got to witness a kid (baby goat) being born outside so that was cool, but when we walked around to check out the pigs someone finally came outside. They asked if we were lost, and obviously not, we came to check out the farm! They made it super awkward and said we needed an appointment. Super rude. Put a bad taste in our mouths. Cool animals but the least friendly humans.

Great place to pick up fresh eggs and meat. I was very happy with the eggs and bacon bundle discount. Contactless farm stand is convenient and pandemic-friendly.

Hogwash Farm takes exceptional care of their pasture-raised pigs, chickens, and sheep. Their meat is some of the best around, and I feel good eating locally produced and humanely raised products. Thanks Leslie!
