I have nothing but great things to say about the meat that I have received from Hetrick's. They have always been straight forward about the price and what to expect for it. I have received steer, hog and deer. Oh yes and turkey.... they literally SAVED my thanksgiving because I didn't properly thaw my first turkey and had to find a fresh non-frozen bird the DAY BEFORE THE HOLIDAY. I started my purchasing during the pandemic when finding meat was becoming more difficult. Now I cannot see my family going back to packaged meat from the grocery store. The quality doesn't even compare! I highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Interesting, that these other newbie business reviews only have 1-2 total posts, looks like some possible customer/family bias. Anyway, true experience and never again, over-charged $380 for the amount of deer meat processed and what was actually returned to customer. The jerkey was extremely salty and dry, but paid $70 for an unedible/unchewable product. Owner promised a check refund for jerkey, but never received/mailed by good ole Glen. Upon tasting and seeing the amount of deer sticks and bologna my dad received at Hughes for 1/3 less the price with a smaller deer, I also disputed to no avail with credit card company for these dubious services. Hetrick's super expensive cheese bologna was also mediocre, bland, and a 5/10 compared to Hughes or Nells in East Berlin. So, basically 75% of my huge deer was ruined and definitely won't make this mistake again, lost both my money and meat to this business.

Great Family butcher shop. They go out of their way to please their customer. I always request the minute steaks when we have beef done. I also ask for smaller family portions when they wrap and freeze our order. Hetricks is a little gem of a family run butcher shop

Hetrick's were very accommodating with processing our turkey's. We will definitely use their butcher shop again!
