We had an outstanding experience at Heritage Craft Butcher! Tyler went above and beyond to make our visit both educational and enjoyable. His knowledge about cuts, aging and preparation was impressive. He took the time to walk us through everything we needed to know about cooking our 38-day dry-aged beef to perfection. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in sharing that passion with customers. The quality of the meat speaks for itself, but the service and care we received from Tyler truly set this place apart. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re down for a visit!
Class Review! My boyfriend and I attended the Brisket 101 class this evening. Going into it I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but was hopeful it would be worth the ticket price as I’ve purchased a good variety of meats from Heritage and have always been impressed. The class was well thought out, there were pamphlets for note taking, multiple staff on hand to answer questions and every question was answered with honest, knowledgeable answers. Beyond cooking brisket, I learned a lot about choosing cuts of meat, preparation and selection of wood, seasoning etc that was extremely helpful as well. While I enjoyed the lesson, my favorite part was the amazing dinner that followed the lesson. An unexpected but wonderful surprise! During dinner we also were given take home gift bags and there was a prize drawing. We unfortunately didn’t win a prize (minus one star, kidding 😜) but we felt well rewarded just the same. If you haven’t tried a class here I recommend it. It was a great date night activity and well worth the ticket price.
I was generously recommended some elk steaks and how to cook them: 2 minutes on each side using medium heat and salt and pepper. I found the steaks to be exceptionally well tenderized and very lean with minimal fat. My only addition was that of some rosemary as it lifts the earthy taste of the elk along with some fresh tomato slices on the side. Do not use thyme as it imbalances the steaks. Aside from the quality of the meat, the quality of the service was also exceptional. I had extensive questions regarding various meats, preparation methods, tools, ect. All of my inquiries were met with cheerfulness and respect. This location has staff that are both amicable and knowledgeable.
Purchased some American Waygu ribeye and prime ribeye. Prime was very good but the American Waygu was sour. Was sold spoiled meat. Did not taste right and hope I don’t get sick from this place. The waygu had a brownish color to it before I cooked it and had a sour smell while the other steak had a nice red color to it and no odor. Figured it was normal since it was my first time cooking Waygu. *updated review 06/28/2025 Was given a refund and a new steak. Thankfully I did not get sick. Just stick to the prime ribeye here it’s very good. I’d stay away from the American Waygu.
Went here for the first time and was not disappointed! Tyler was extremely helpful in picking out some meats all while wearing a cool hat. Awesome customer service. The brats, and ground beef we picked up were amazing. The prices were also great. Definitely going to be back again.
Very unhappy with my experience. I called in to place an order for bones, guy I talked to confirmed that they had everything and gave me an estimate over the phone of a little over $30. When my husband picked up the order, not only did they not have all the bones they told me they had ordered for me, but the total was $50. I’m not saying the price is high, just frustrated that I didn’t even get everything I ordered AND it was more expensive - how does that make sense? A call with heads up would have been nice before driving all the way out there to pick up an incomplete order.
I stopped into Heritage Craft Butchers looking for a couple of steaks for dinner and was genuinely impressed by the experience. As someone who isn’t exactly an expert in the kitchen, I really appreciated the butcher’s friendly, non-pressuring attitude and their willingness to help me figure out what to buy without making me feel out of place. While the prices were a bit above my usual budget, I mentioned that I was looking for high quality at a lower cost, and they didn’t make me feel judged at all. Instead, they worked with me to find a solid, affordable option that still felt like a treat. That kind of respectful, knowledgeable customer service goes a long way. I’ll definitely be back.
Heritage is the absolute best. Their meat is ridiculously good, much better than anything I've ever eaten from a grocery store. The selection is also top notch. They have cuts that I haven't seen anywhere else! To top it all off, they have very fair prices and the best customer service around. All of their employees are incredibly kind and helpful. We don't just enjoy eating what we buy from Heritage, we enjoy the experience we have every time we visit. By giving Heritage your business, you are supporting a local business run by great people AND receiving the best product around. I couldn't recommend it enough!
My wife and I stopped in to visit the Heritage Craft Butcher shop today, and we were impressed. Everything was high quality including the service. We’re looking forward to trying the cherrywood and hickory bacon we purchased. I’m sure we’ll be back to visit H.C.B. again soon. If you haven’t been, go check it out.
I would love to see them expand their selection of meat a little bit, but everything I've purchased there (bacon, various steaks, duck fat, knives) has been great. The service was very friendly and helpful and the guy helping me check out introduced himself by name and shook my hand, which felt personable in a way I haven't felt at most stores.
Great quality meat that 9/10 time beats grocery store prices in addition to being higher quality. On occasion I've ordered something special and they did a great job that I was super satisfied with. The owner is super nice and really helpful.
Just stopped in to grab some guanciale and had an awesome experience. Tyler helped me out and was fantastic, super friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. The quality of the meat and specialty products looked top notch. I’ll definitely be back. Big thanks to Tyler for making the visit such a great one!
FINALLY - a high quality, legitimate, meat lover paradise, butcher. I have craved having a place like this to go to. Finally went in today and had to refrain myself from spending all of my money. Top tier products, best meat selection in Utah. 10/10

Truly 5 stars all around, quality of the meat and store is top notch, with incredibly fair pricing. The customer service was above and beyond. I have already told my family about this and will be a returning customer and raving fan.
Love this place. Their meat is so amazing. The frozen chicken breasts and bacon are some of my favorites. That being said all their meat is some of the best around.
I went in Friday evening and bought about 34 pounds of kalbi ribs. It took almost 2 hours to get my order. I went to grill them on Sunday, and saw right away that they were cut wrong. There was a thick layer of tough meat and fat on the …
Wonderful selection of custom cuts and aged meats. All kinds of pork and beef products. They have salts, olive oils, smoking pellets, swag, etc. They have some very knowledgeable staff as well, and a very cool interior.
