If you’re planning a party or looking to stock your freezer this family run business has the stuff you need! Wings, beef, summer sausage, cheese… The hand crafted goods we’ve gotten have been wonderful and a huge hit!!

I've been going to this place for 15 + years the old owners were great love those people and they always did a excellent job!!! Now there's new owners and me and a lot of friends and family I know will never go back after trying them out for the last 2 times I've brought our stuff into them. They keep half of your meat over charge you like you wouldn't believe and don't do what you ask for your processing.

I brought my deer in there and dropped it off saying we wanted burger and the backstaps on the tag. Well we got back 2 tiny packages of back straps and only 15 pounds of burger meat not mixed with pork for $173. Never a phone call nothing 2 months later they called and said it was ready. Then tell me I had 3 days to pick it up before being charged a $50 weekly fee. The old owners did such a fantastic job at communication with clients I will never go back. Sad thing we are local and have been going there for years. And it's not just us it's our friends as well that will never go back.

We have been taking our deer to Schroeder Meats for 7+ years. Every year except this year it was a wonderful experience. Dropped the deer off 2 weeks after deer opener and we still have not seen the deer. Today's date is 1/10/2025. Deer was dropped off 11/17/2024. Zero updates zero calls. When we called, they said they took on a lot of "Beef" processing work and there would be a delay. I think the patience has wore thin and it's time to put out a review in their current state of operations. People beware, this is a real review with plenty of time left. The days of five star reviews I think has faded. I'm sure you'll see more reviews like this in the coming months to come. 1.5 / 5 Jan 10th 2025

I have been a customer for years. Something changed this year and I am not sure what. Yes prices went up but This small town business always treated customers like family so price did not matter to me. I would bring my deer in some times after hours and people would help me. They would cape a deer while we wait and we chat it up. This not the case.I was told they wouldn't cape it as they were to busy which inturn would leave me having to find another processor. They didn't seem to care. being loyal I waited with my deer 5 days to get it caped and brought my deer to them. It took over a month to finish my deer and when they texted late on a Thursday I was out of town. I called as soon as I got back into town Monday morning to let them know I was gone but back now and would be in to pick my deer up Saturday. I was met with you will be charged. I said for 2 days? yep. I said I work till 530 every day a hr away. I was told sorry. I understand when people don't come for months and freezer space is at premium. I was gonna be there in 2 days.. I dont know if this 15 yr customer will be back. This place has seem to lost its small town customer service that made it great and traded it in for way others ways. I hope they get back to wanting to help.

Awesome folks here!! They scrive to be the best and have the best recipes. Prices are reasonable and the customer service is excellent! Oh, and they offer a military discount on everything you buy!!

We have used this meat shop for deer processing for many years. Was always happy until this year. A deer that was harvested in November wasn’t ready for pick up until January. When I picked it up I asked why it took longer than previous years. I was told it was because they had their floors redone, equipment broke down, and they’ve been swamped. There was no communication with me in the 50 days I was waiting for the deer. Will choose another meat shop next year.

My wife found some breakfast links from Schroeder's at the grocery store and the whole family absolutely loved them. I brought my deer trimmings to them and had summer sausage and breakfast links made, and WOW are they amazing. Can't recommend this place enough, great meats and friendly staff
