Haldas/John and staff are worth a first time visit. Haldas was the only Butcher/meat market I dealt with until I moved to Central De 16 years ago. I have returned to Wilmington , visited Haldas and nothing has changed. Amazing service, top quality product, custom orders! Give Haldas a shot. You won’t regret it!
Second experience at Haldas. Now I know why I was hesitant to go back. Wanted brisket. Sign posted was 8.99lb. Guy rung me up 11.99lb. Gave benefit of doubt to holiday and it was already trimmed. Guy said 34.99 for brisket. Got home and checked account, it was 44.99. Definitely not going back.
This is my local butcher that I have been using for over 20 years now. I love all the fresh meats and marinated chicken they have. I always stock up on the meatballs and frozen sliced (chicken,beef) for cheesesteaks and the fresh rolls they offer. My family also gets prepared items for the holidays like Turkey and Hams with all the fixings. Great people, great service, and awesome food!
A friend recommended Haldas for catering a grad party. I stopped by yesterday to grab a few items to try. The Ziti, Mac N Cheese, meatballs were all amazing. My sons really likes the Mac N Cheese.
I have been coming here for years. If you want great whole foods this is the place to get your meat or fish. They have the best salmon by far in the tri-state. Their cold cuts are delicious too. If you're looking for catered food for a holiday or function, this is the place to go. The meatballs are really good as well. I definitely recommend Haldas Market.

Our condo association used Haldas Market to cater our recent Holiday Luncheon! They were so helpful with suggestions for the menu items for our sit down meal. They provided delivery and set-up which was great! The chicken florentine, glazed ham, penne with shrimp, salads, veggies and potato dishes were all excellent! Everyone raved at how nice this event was! We will definitely use Haldas for future catering!

If you are looking for the freshest food and the best customer service by the sweetest staff, this is your place. They have prepared foods including fresh pies as well of course as meats. They are a full service butcher. It is my go-to spot for freshly made an incredibly yummy sausages to grill. Like chicken feta sausage. One of my favorites. They're pre-made pulled pork is outstanding. I could just go on and on. Try it for yourself
Another fantastic Thanksgiving in the books. 15+ years frying fresh turkey from Haldas. I love picking up my order and snooping around the store for extras like pies and soups. There’s really nothing like a legit butcher market.
Haldas cooked fillet is fabulous! I ordered a tray of cooked sliced fillet for a casual dinner party last weekend and it was a huge hit! The meat was seasoned deliciously, cooked perfectly, not an ounce of fat, and every slice was the same size which was great for sandwiches. They provided hoarse radish sauce which was the perfect compliment. I served it with fresh rolls, scalloped potatoes, crab cakes, and Caesar salad. People raved about the menu, and the fillet truly made the meal! I almost bought the fillet from Costco to cook it myself. Ordering from Haldas cost more, but it was so worth it not to have to prepare, cook, and slice the meat, and I didn't have to worry about over or under cooking. Ordering from Haldas allowed me to relax and enjoy my party. I will definitely be ordering again next time I entertain!
Haldas is a phenomenal business! They have the best and freshest meat. The customer service is amazing they are always very helpful and make the best food. Their catering is top notch and they have delicious food. I recommend Haldas to everyone! You won’t be disappointed !

Extremely disappointed today. Staff was horrible. They acted like they didn't want to be open and not accommodating except to push some Boston Creme Pies. They did pride themselves on a good product and we sure do pay for it! For the price you pay, I would expect premium service! If this is their new normal, don't waste your time. Not the Haldas it once was, just a shame
Came to your meat market at 4:10pm Saturday 4/9/22 & clean up to close the store was already taking place! The cases were empty. If this is your idea of customer service, this was our last trip to Haldas. The previous owner would roll over in his grave to see the way John is running the business. Not the 1st time we have had problems. Hey, do better than $.01 if we buy 100 pounds of lamb.

Best butcher shop I know of. Meat is always the best quality. Also have a variety of refrigerated and frozen items. Quality bread & rolls. Some vegetables. Seasonings. Baked pies, etc. This is my go to place for items like this.
