Hands down the coolest place I've ever been to in my life! The woman who owns the place is absolutely amazing! We had a tent campsite which was fantastic, but when she saw my husband was injured she upgraded us to a cabin for absolutely free! It was air conditioned and so comfortable She made us feel right at home and I got to feed the baby goats! This is a must see! π ππππ
We loved this place and will definitely be back! Melissa was so nice and knowledgeable. This is a nonprofit so if you ever have time go help her out and stay in one of her Airbnbs on property. I loved all the goat time I got. They all have such different personalities.
I wish I could give 10 stars! What a hidden gem! I spent ten days in the βtiny house,β and this place is amazing. Not only is the property on Lake Talquin (with kayaks provided), it is just up the street from a state park and is only a one hour drive from the beach. There are multiple campsites and another enclosed shelter called βThe Coop,β but the little cottage called βTiny Houseβ is cozy and absolutely perfect. Melissa is so hospitable and provided everything I needed to comfortably enjoy my stay. She even provided breakfast β including farm fresh eggs β on the weekends. The property itself is beautiful, and the animals are great fun! The goats are friendly (especially if you have carrots!), and there are also a pig, some kitties, and chickens. I had a great time here. I canβt wait until I can find time to get away to Goat House Farm again. I highly recommend a stay here!
Please keep in mind that this is a *farm* and not a hotel, and you will be fine.. If you are a city born and raised like me, you may have some difficulty adjusting around, but the farm animals definitely make it worth it. If you are a country person, then I am sure this is the perfect place for you! Thanks, Melissa for your hospitality and homemade biscuits! Edit: I got a tick bite from this place and I discovered it late during the day, so I ended up paying quite a lot of money to emergency services. Normally, I would take away more stars but I know Melissa has a noble purpose of improving goats and their survival capabilities so I will leave it at 4 stars. Though, I cannot simply ignore the fact that it caused me great distress.
Loved it out here! Melissa is an amazing soul and runs a very cool farm. Her goats are the sweetest little things, full of their own antics. Will be returning for another camping and goat bottle feeding session. My mom and I were going to get rained out with some nasty storms, but Melissa put us in the cabin so we were safe and dry. 10/10, Five stars. I got to hold a baby goat and tasted my first loquat fresh off the tree β€οΈ
We did goat yoga at the farm and it was an incredible experience! The owner was very nice and taught us so much about goats! We had a blast!
We absolutely loved it; it was a great experience, we learned so much. The goats are beautiful and docile, our 5 and 8 year olds did great with all of them. Felt comfortable and would definitely return. Even got some eggs to take home :)
Goat House Farm in Tallahassee is one of the most relaxing & educational experiences you can find!! I don't want it to end! Lots of love lives here- the goats, bees, cats, chickens, & pigs are as friendly as the humans and Melissa treats you like family. π If you love animals and organics, and are not afraid to go completely off-road for a couple miles, I highly recommend this Tallahassee get-away. ππ @GoatHouseFarm
I really don't understand the 5 star rating. We arrived, we had look and we left. I am pretty sure you have a better stay on a landfill.
This place is absolutely AMAZING ! I loved it so much. Everyone here was so friendly and was able to answer any questions I had about goats. Would definitely come back and/or recommend this place.
