Findley's Butcher Shop

The meat we purchased was beautiful. It was packaged perfectly and delicious. We barely received customer service and were pretty much rushed out of the store. We were not sure why other than the fact that we live an alternate lifestyle. We appreciate the opportunity to shop there.

I’ll do 3 stars because other than this issue, their meats are good. However, they no longer take deer on Saturday's, when most people who have full time jobs like to hunt. First I was told it was because of being short staffed. Which is kinda understandable. But when I walked in there were 3 employees and no customers. The female employee gave me tips on how to keep my meat on ice until Monday, but unfortunately that wouldn’t work for me. So I said thank you for the info and went to head out the door. But then the older man behind the counter, for absolutely zero reason, got an attitude and said all we (hunters) did was “bog down his business on the weekends when we came in”…..last time I checked, bringing in a deer to process is business…. I’ll drive the extra 10-15 min to the other location in Acworth from now on for my deer. Unusual interaction today. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and I was just the victim.

Found this little gem while exploring the area - had stopped for coffee across the street and was intrigued by the "deer processing" sign we saw while waiting for our coffee. So glad we did! Fantastic selection of game eats, fowl, and some seafood. Lots of jerky and sausages. We'll be back!

So the service and friendliness i would say is a 5. The quality of the jerky specifically the teriyaki pepper jerky is unfortunately why I'm leaving a review. I've eaten so much jerky in my life and always excited to try new ones. This was a 2/10 it technically was edible, but so dry, almost burnt or chalky tasting, and no teriyaki flavoring found. My brother got a different jerky from here Thai chili I believe and said it was fine about a 6 out of 10, nothing to write home about but fine. He and I agreed we will not buy jerky ever again here though. Likely will just come back and try other stuff as the steaks and chicken look good.

Very friendly lady helped us out. They had great prices on the ribeyes. Definitely recommend.

Cant say enough about this place. Cam was very cool. I got the $50 package and he packed up just the way I needed it.

Wonderful variety of meat selections. Excellent customer service. Walked in and was immediately taken care of. The sweet ladies went over all the details of the different meats. I will definitely be back. Couldn't ask for better service with my first time there.
