The 5 star reviews you read are all true. This butcher is the best, and yes, I have been to one that came highly recommended from numerous people. Visited that one and never went back and thus discovered Exelsior Meats. I don't get meat anywhere else, and they have the best smoked sausage sticks in the state. Come and you won't be disappointed!!

This butcher shop is a gem! They always have a great selection of premium cuts of meat, and their prices are very reasonable. The staff is also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you choose the perfect cut of meat for your needs, and they're always happy to answer any questions you have.

Excel-lent!! Highly recommended for cuts of meat and poultry. I avoid their buns, however, due to dryness caused by business freezing them.

Easily the best beef in Butte. Great prices on a variety of quality meats. Artisan meets at neighborhood market prices. Also the only grocery store uptown, with lots of essentials.

The absolute BEST, and freshest meat in Butte. With deals and prices that nobody can beat, and a variety of cuts and types of mean both frozen and fresh in their cold case, I buy all nearly all my meat here. Rounded out by an excellent and friendly staff, as well. Friendly staff, great selection, better prices, and quality 2nd to none, what's not to like?

I ordered a ham for Christmas Eve dinner. It was FABULOUS! We got the apple glaze. It came wrapped in foil, and I just heated it up in the foil. The ham was tender, flavorful, and not dry at all. This was my first time to the market but it won't be my last. I look forward to discovering more tasty treats at Excelsior Meats.

Oh this place is a miracle throwback. I have never been to a meat shop of this quality despite being a meat enthusiast. Homemade everything, specialty cuts, all local, amazing marbling, prices that are the same as the grocery store and in some cases better. Wow

The service was prompt and friendly. Went in to buy some of their most delicious meatballs . While cashing out three other customers were also there to buy their meatballs. They are the best I've ever had.

This place is legendary, high quality and great customer service and friendly folks. The steaks are amazing and the salami is fantastic as well. The only place we go to in Butte!

Not many places to park, but they had decent prices on there meat. Kinda out of the way to get to but for local peps I am sure it is normal to go to. We live 30 miles away and found it online and wanted to check it out. We probably will go back when we are one our monthly meat stock trips.

Well that was a waste of my time. Came down from Deer Lodge just to pick out some hand cut tomahawk ribeyes, and they're closed. Website said they were open. It would have been nice if they updated their business hours on their website. Weather they're open or not, I will not be back.
