The owners are doing a lot of really neat things on the farm - there is silvopasture, a biochar pond and bamboo to help feed animals in the winter. The view is gorgeous and their playhouse is very fun!!
John, Anne and family are absolutely wonderful people. I have been there a couple of times and it was always a blast! I buy beef from them as well and it is the best I've ever had, bar none. You can literally just cook it with no seasoning and it's fabulous. I like knowing where my food comes from and I wouldn't buy beef from the store if it was the last place on earth to get it so that should tell you something lol. The way they farm is quite Eco-friendly and pretty cutting edge as well. John is also quite the carpenter as he built the home and barn on the property. A true "old ways" guy. If you're looking to get away from the bustle of city life or just want to learn a little about the farm life, check this place out. Well worth it!
Amazing experience! John and his family are so open and sharing. From the petting area to the picnic area, an incredibly interesting day for both the kids and adults. It is a bit far, but well worth it.
