Congaree and Penn

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the opportunity to take a handful of friends and family here for dinner. We got a number of different things from the menu like short rib, the yard bird, the farmhouse, pasta, and the shrimp and grits. While everything was fresh, I did feel like it was somewhat lacking in flavor, which was disappointing especially at that price point. We also ordered a charcuterie board to share at the start, and that was easily the best thing that we ate, all the cheeses, meats, and items on the board were amazing. Probably wouldn’t come back for a meal, but I would come back for the charcuterie board and some wine

Thrilled to visit while vacationing on Amelia Island. The farm was beautiful, our lunch was delicious and the service is was amazing! Everyone we encountered was polite, curteous and accommodating! We even picked Muscadine grapes after lunch! Definitely on the list to visit every time I am near Jacksonville!

The wait staff were great. The food was way overpriced. Limited menu options. We had a family of 10 for dinner. The menu says gratuity will be automatically added to parties over 8. The check came. No space for tip, only “additional tip”. Which told us the tip was already added for our large party. We did not leave an additional tip. The waiter approached us leaving to ask about his service. We were told the tip was not included even though the menu says it is and the suggested optional additional tip. We felt horrible and added the tip he rightfully deserved. But the restaurant needs to correct the menu tip note and the check to reflect tip and not just additional tip which is misleading.

While it is a bit of a drive, it is definitely worth it - family friendly venue with exceptionally friendly staff. The space itself is great, very well maintained. We were just in time for muscadine grape picking, which I have used to make wine. The food is tasty, presentation is spot on, and the cider selection is fantastic. Would definitely be coming again with the entire family to try picking different fruits/crops - baby friendly too during lunch time!

I was skeptical after reading some negative reviews but this place exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious, I loved the atmosphere, and the staff were incredible. We came for our anniversary dinner, and we will definitely be back.

Hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to! The staff is beyond amazing, and the chefs, Steve and Andrew, are unbelievably talented. Huge shoutout to Ray, who was such a wonderful server and made our night so special. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. We had a fire table with the most incredible view, and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. This spot is officially one of our all-time favorites, and we can’t wait to come back with friends and family!

Fantastic experience, one of a kind in Jacksonville! Beautiful experience from dinner to just sitting / walking around! Great for couples only, or family night entertainment, even dogs allowed! Check their calendar and enjoy! You’ll be back!

I love the atmosphere and service at Congaree and Penn. The farm is stunning! We've visited a few times, and each time, I enjoy the vibes. The food is solid, and I like their seasonal menu. The appetizers and salads are probably my favorites. The short ribs entree is always great, and my pasta was good, but honestly, the heirloom tomato salad was the standout! Definitely recommend if you like farm to table. Sit under the covered patio - beautiful end to the day!
