Cimarron River Farms is nestled in Coyle, Oklahoma, on land enriched by Soldier Creek and bounded by the Cimarron River. This farm has been in the Dobson family since statehood, and in 2013, Jim Dobson retired from his corporate career to pursue a deeply rooted family tradition of farming.
Cimarron River Farms is committed to producing 100% grass-fed and grass-finished Angus beef. The Dobsons focus on ensuring a healthy, comfortable environment for their cattle, grazing them on Midland 99 Bermuda grass without any grain or corn. The use of rotational grazing enhances the pasture quality and promotes sustainable land management.
The farm offers premium Angus beef in quarter, half, or whole steer options. Their beef is renowned for its marbling, tenderness, and flavor, attributes of their carefully managed diet and environment. Custom cuts are available for half and whole beef orders, while quarters provide a selection of specific cuts.
Beef from Cimarron River Farms contains higher levels of conjugated linoleic acids (CLAs), omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants, owing to the cattle's natural grass-fed diet. These nutritional qualities set their beef apart from conventional grain-finished products.
Customers can place orders online, with a deposit required: $500 for whole, $250 for half, and $125 for quarter steers. Two weeks before pickup, customers receive notification of the exact weight. The balance, after deposits, depends on the hanging weight. Beef is available for pickup at Country Home Meat Co. in Edmond, Oklahoma, with payment finalized there.
The availability of whole and half beef is influenced by processing dates and seasonal conditions, ensuring the highest quality end product.
