Every cut of meat you could want they probably have, prices are on the higher end of average but the quality is better than most other places.

We had them cater for a birthday party. All the food was delicious. They provide not only the food but the drinks and the utensils. Everyone loved the food and thought it was delicious. The chicken barbecue was delicious! All the food is pictured. (The green beans and macaroni and cheese were not provided by them.) Overall I would definitely use them again.

Chicken was on sale. Giant legs an breast selection. Great place, offers everything from deli, fresh cuts of most anything, bison lamb. Cool butcher shop. Worth the ride and kempsville chaos traffic.

Overall very good! Unfortunately the last time I went I bought two porterhouse T-Bones for I think 17.99 a pound, Left there and went by Harris teeter and their T-Bones were even better looking and they were 12.99 a pound special, do I think it's the same quality in this case? Yes, but I still love central meat packing 😁 …

I bought a spare rib and asked the butcher to cut it because i really only wanted the ribtip. I was craving rib tips Chicago-style, that’s how I usually get them when I’m on leave in chicago i would buy them by case. I showed the butcher a picture at the counter of exactly how to cut the tip. He seemed like he understood and said he would check with a butcher in the back. I asked again if he understood, and he said yes but he definitely didn’t. Instead of Chicago-style rib tips, he trimmed it to a St. Louis cut. I guess I’ll just go back to cutting it myself. I always thought butchers were trained in all types of cuts of meat, but maybe this is just a Chicago thing. I have attached the chicago cut style and a pitcure of what I got here on the paper towel. Dont get me wrong Central Meats is awesome and does everything great I just was disappointed in the cut i recieved when he said he understood what i wanted.

Yesterday, 03/19/25, I came to Central Meats to buy 2 ribeye steaks to grill since it was such a nice day out. This was my first time ever buying any kind of meat from your store. I usually buy my steaks when they’re on sale at places like Kroger and Harris Teeter but I decided to come to Central Meats because I’ve always been curious as to how they are different from grocery store meat and have heard good things. I ended up buying 2 Delmonico Ribeyes that were each just over 1lb and was very excited to go home and grill them on our Blackstone especially after the worker behind the meat counter said that it would be “eye opening” and “mind blowing” and I’d never go back to buying them from a grocery store. My boyfriend who grills quite frequently cooked these steaks to a Medium Rare and when we took the first bite, I just have to say that we were very disappointed. These steaks weren’t “mind blowing” or anything. I honestly have gotten steaks from Kroger for a lesser price and they have left me wanting more when I finished eating it. Your Delmonico Ribeye on the other hand had me not even wanting to finish it. These steaks almost had a “hamburger” kind of taste which was really weird. I’m just super disappointed because I thought going to a butcher shop to get steaks would have been way better than a grocery store but I guess not. It’s just upsetting paying almost $47 for 2 steaks and feeling like I got ripped off especially when your workers say it’ll be “mind blowing.” I’m sorry but my mind was blown because of the lacking in quality.

Great selection, great prices, always fresh!! This is a local buisness worth supporting and is by far superior to any grocery store. Highly recommend their in house sausages and if you need a specific cut they likely have it. Plus they have a large selection of affordable spices and other goodies.

We visit Central Meats at least twice monthly. About 90% of our meat is purchased here. Even dog food. All is more fresh, never anything of poor quality. Friendly, helpful staff, even when the place is packed with customers. Always on time with our special orders. Yep. I'll return. Why not 5 stars? Four stars from me is a great review.
