Castle's Butcher Shop

I love the old fashioned country stores, like this one, in the area. You can find meat products, candies, etc., that you can't find anywhere else.

Bought some ribeyes from here. Meat smelled roten when I took them out of packaging to grill. Called the store and they said I couldn't get a refund or trade. Didn't get the guys name but he wasnt really helpful at all.

Totally unimpressed with the quality of the meat, considering they claim to be a butcher shop. More of a quick mom and pop grocery with at best average meats. I won't be back.

Well stocked, clean and friendly. I was so happy they were open Sunday. I was sure they would not have what I was looking for, flaked coconut, and they did. If you take time to walk around and look you will be surprised at their stock. It is well worth stopping in.

They are wonderful people to know ! I have been going there for along time years ! They are so understanding, honest caring people who knows how to treat people! I just love going there for my meats and other things !

Great prices much cheaper than foodlion and way better quality than Walmart. I highly recommend we shop there for the meat selection every week. Friendly people that work here.

Had a steak cut to order. It was excellent. There was some choice stakes on hand I had to grab. Also picked up some frozen ribs that will be cooked up soon. Very clean nice store.

Have low prices on certain meats such as chicken , cube steaks , beef ribs. They will cut your meats for you as well. Have different varieties of seafood products as well. Wish had a bigger selection but for the area its in its definitely nice to have. Especially between food lion because that's expensive. Very nice custome service as well.

Meats are always a bargain and the staff is super friendly

Been there before and I love shopping there. Meats are cut daily and don't break your wallet for looking for great deals on meat products. You should try it out.

We purchased four bags of crabs from this place and ALL of the crabs were mushy. We couldn't eat any of them. What a waste. When we called back to discuss a refund the lady who answered the phone said there was nothing she could do we'd have to call back the next day and talk to someone else. Well we were only in town for the weekend. We eat crabs all the time in the DC area and I have never had a bad batch like these. I was very disappointed.

Castles has wonderful cuts of meat and awesome employees. I won't buy meat anywhere else.

Great prices alone won't cut it. I very much dislike the fact that original expiration dates are changed on meats for quick sales. If it's out of date & reduced...the original expiration date should never be changed & covered up. Several times I've uncovered dates that were changed & in one case ranging from Nov to Jan. If I choose to buy an item that's reduced for quick sale today with an expiration date of yesterday, I certainly don't expect to find three other stickers under it with an original expiration date of Nov or Dec!!!! That's what I've encountered and have pictures of. Bread & family size cans of veggies is what I get there now. As I stated, they DO have GREAT PRICES!
