Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a specialty market that offers a variety of locally grown produce, unique food items, and plants. The store features handmade products, homemade jams, and a selection of fruit trees, while also providing a petting zoo and supporting student initiatives. It serves as both a retail space and an educational experience for visitors.
Stopped in here off hours, while the Pumpkin Festival was going on - pretty amazing place especially for the students to enjoy. Seems to have great small branded products - both food and general merchandise. They were really smart to have this place open during the event - it seemed to be really packed! The garden section was my wife's favorite. 5 Stars!
Great place, amazing trees, very good prices, unique plants / peppers / grafted fruit trees. Staff was amazing and even helped us check out outside so we didn’t have to bring the trees into the register. Would have liked if they moved the scented items away from the door so you aren’t blasted with fragrance when you walk in. Bread was good. Clean, plenty of parking, would go again!
This place is great. They have a wonderful selection of unique food items, like special handmade pastas, homemade jams, specially chip flavors and specialty sodas. They also offer a small selection of produce they grew right next to the store. I've found that the items in the store are delicious but a bit pricey. The prices and items sold are more in line with a boutique specialty market. The nursery is attached to the store and it has a great selection of fruit trees and veggies and berries. The selection changes throughout the year, depending on what is in season. A 4 inch pot of something can range between $4.25 - $5. It's a fun place to go. I can always find some wonderful gem for my garden.
I think it’s an awesome store. Great finds. Prices are some what good , some things a tad bit over priced IMO. But not crazy overpriced. There are a lot of things at very good prices, especially the produce and some plants. It’s very well kept. My son said the restroom on premises could be a little cleaner . For the most part the customer service is Good. There is a petting zoo on particular Saturdays which is $8 per person to enter that I don’t feel is worth that price but to each their own. Overall I really like this store & many of the products they sale and the farm is also aesthetically pleasing. It’s beautiful out there.
Super polite and helpful students working. Since i am gluten free, I’ve never tried their sandwiches, but they are super popular. I love to get a big jug of honey while I’m here because I drink it in the morning with my coffee. Lots of fruit trees, and other plants that you can buy picnic tables and trees are abundant around here. It’s super peaceful and lovely. It’s one of my favorite places.
Lot of locally grown fruits, veggies and herbs to pick from. I got yellow and orange watermelon here and the yellow was very sweet while the orange had a light sweetness, would recommend both. Corn was also wonderful and the fresh basil. I did also get some of their jarred pickles, salsa and pasta sauces and all are delightful. Great local honey as well! If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by.
Great selection of produce, drinks, honey, outdoor plants and more. Super friendly staff are helpful. Support the students and have a great day shopping when you visit.
They have a variety of super hot peppers, some of them are unique to Cal Poly Pomona. They do not sell any citrus trees, in case you make the same mistake I did as I was hoping to score some tangerine trees. Still walked out with 3 trees and a pepper! Prices for trees vary, from $57-$70. Pepper plants were $6.50, which is reasonable considering these varieties aren't available at your Big Box stores. 2nd time here and will be here another time.
Wow! Why have I not visited sooner?! What a fun store! Lots of jams, jellies, salsa, and sauces! Great place to shop for gift baskets and other gifts! Huge selecting of plants too! We bought their homemade peanut butter and it was amazing! The college makes their own beer, wine and ice cream too! Nacho sauce superb! Salsa was so flavorful! Bringvyour own container and get fresh warm honey! Lots of artisan foods! More fun than a Trader Joes! Prices aren't that bad, and you are supporting a school! Can't wait to go back!
This pumpkin festival was fun, but I had to take off 2 stars because the entrance fee was outlandish at 25 dollars a person. There are a lot of great things for the kids, but paying 25 dollars just to walk in is totally unnecessary. There are food vendors, of course, for another fee, and the potatoes on a stick were wonderful! There are animals, hayrides, pumpkin patch, etc.
