Horrible service. Female owner looked like she was drugged out of her mind. Not friendly at all. Ham steak wrapped in plastic was broken seal leaked out all in my fridge. Pork roasts had so much fat on them. Not good meats at all. Very poor service. Will not shop there again……

Amazing meat selection, had some fun frozen options and cheeses. I can't wait to go back! Might make this my go-to deli!

My wife Gina and I have been a customer for a couple of years back here in Ocala FL for our son in HAS Inc. The entire time the staff have always been outstanding!!! We give this butcher shop the highest recommendation possible.

My sister and I were in town visiting our mom for Mother's Day a few years back. Mom wanted steak for her special dinner, so we decided to try the Butcher Block. We were not disappointed. The Ribeyes that we got were the best we had ever had and the customer service was excellent.

Just picked up some fresh salmon today. The Butcher Block consistently has the best fish in town, bar none, and it's the only place I'll buy seafood in the area. They also have a decent selection of other meat items as well as beer, wine, and even sake. Custom service was great. Overall a great little local place to stop. As far as Elissa's comment about masks... get over yourself. I tend to wear a mask everywhere I go, but I respect that others have the freedom and personal choice to wear one or not. This is a small store, and there are often only 2-3 people sharing the entire store area. Proper distancing is more than feasible. Per CDC's current guidelines, there's technically no need to be masked up in this space (since social distancing is possible, there aren't crowds, and contact times are short), and your chances of getting sick from spending 3 minutes in the same 700 square feet of space as one other person is astronomically slim. The 1 star rating is petty, unwarranted, and not representative of the quality of products and level of service this business provides.

Stop buying meat from the grocery store, buy it here! We only buy our beef and chicken from Butcher Block. Freshest beef I have ever bought, cut to order. They are also one of the only places in town that sell fish that has not been previously frozen. Check them out, you won't regret it. They no longer carry beer or wine but do have a great selection of pop made with real sugar and a variety of cold drinks. Great cheese selection and free range chicken eggs. The also sell fresh whole chicken that blows away what you get at the grocery store, always tender and juicy. They are also one of the only places I am aware of that sells fresh fish in the Pocatello area.

Awesome store. Little much on the wine. However they have an excellent selection of beer n its not your reg kind of beer either. Yum. The cuber lady Ali is awesome also. She does some amazing seasoned prime rib roasts around xmas or anytime.

Very impressed with their customer service. Having spent my life just buying meat from a grocery store I was a little uncertain about how to go about getting it from a butcher. They were very helpful, asked what cut I like, how many people I was feeding, and how I like to cook it. A few minutes later I had some great streaks ready to grill. Definitely will be going back. Thanks a ton!

Let me start by saying that the fish here is great quality - some of the best in town, and why I make the trip. It was evident on my last visit that my loyalty is not valued here. I was masked, the cashier was not. She saw my mask, and saw how I stood 6 feet away from the counter. When I requested (politely) that she mask up before I approached to pay, she refused. She told me she didn't have COVID. I explained that we wear masks to protect others because many are asymptomatic. She said ( and this is a quote), "I don't care." I wonder: If the owners of this butcher shop/food store don't care enough to don a simple mask, what are they doing in the back room that also disrespects my health and safety. Not going back. There are other stores in town that do care.

Excellent customer service! They delivered my product from Pocatello to Idaho Falls - what butcher does that?? It was awesome! They had exactly what I needed, gave it to me for a fantastic price and delivered it to me in time for a large dinner party. Has my loyalty and my business!

Went in to get some steaks for my wife’s birthday and got some of the best steaks I’ve cooked. The lady that helped me was beyond awesome. Loved the beer selection and the conversation. I’ll be back over and over. Great job and will tell everyone I know this is the place for all the food and beverage in Pocatello.

Amazing selection of fresh fish (like literally flown in from Alaska that morning) and reasonable prices for a shop in a small town like Pocatello. Also the owner is incredibly nice and generous. A definite hidden gem!!

The staff is helpfull and friendly also they have beef tallow.

I love Amy and her staff. I went in today and ordered 10lbs each of chicken and hamburger ala cart and they had no problem packing our purchase as requested. They are always so super helpful.

Going from the anonymity of a large grocery store to a small, local butcher was a bit weird when I first started frequenting Butcher Block Meats. The friendliness of the staff and the ease of shopping here quickly put my fears to rest. I started shopping here because I was looking for meat that I would know where it came from and what treatment/food/antibiotics it received. I was stunned when the owner could tell me exactly what kind of meat she was selling. If this wasn't enough to convince me to stop buying store meat, the quality of all their products finalized my decision. I haven't tried a single product that I haven't been amazed by. Other people I've cooked for agree that their bacon (or any type of meat) is the best they've ever had. Even organic store-bought meat pales in comparison. I recommend Butcher Block Meats to anyone and everyone I know.

I've always said Quality pays for itself! Amy does such a GREAT job with fresh fish! AND such a wonderful job here..... kind of out here in the sticks! Count on consistancy here! Constantly meeting expectations!
