We have been buying half pigs, full lambs, wonderful hams, and bacon here for nearly twenty years. Only one time did we have a beef butchered. I can say that this is a good and fair business. I can honestly say that there isn’t a day in the year when we don’t have 15 to 40 pounds of some meat products in our freezer from Mobile Ranch.
BEWARE OF CROOKED PRACTICES- WE had specific directions for them and they magically didn't have our prime cuts of the cow. They claim that they turned them into ground beef when we told them specifically not to. All that work for what? we weighed what they said we had and we fell way short. We called to complain and they really don't care. They will do whatever is easiest for them. No prime rib, no brisket, no filet! Beyond upset. There was a dead deer just laying on the ground with its innards sprayed out in front of the place so I should have taken warning that they may be lazy. Be wary and if possible find somewhere else. They don't care what you want. I really feel like they keep all the prime cuts for themselves. Disrespects the farmer and the cow. HORRIBLE and RUDE customer service. Update: they mangled our meat. We’ve found quite a bit of bone in ground beef and some cuts seem sloppily cut it not cut improperly. Worst butcher we’ve ever used.
Our meat hung for 31 days before they finally cut and packed it. All the 890 pounds of beef is tough from hanging too long.
We get meat from there regularly. Great prices, and good service. It can be a little difficult to get ahold of them over phone sometimes though.
The teriyaki beef sticks are awesome! Definitely will get more
