Practices

3TC Farm operates as a hobby ranch and herding dog venue, specializing in herding clinics, ranch and farm dog trials, scenting events, and facility rentals. The farm hosts workshops for both beginners and experienced handlers, with trainers like Marilyn Anderson, Nordika Stockdogs, Kristin Thomson, and Marilyn Bell. Facilities include arenas, pens, and a log barn housing breeding ewes. Services also extend to duck egg incubation (minimum 16 eggs, $200/incubation) and artwork sales.

Offerings

The farm sells live lambs ($250/whole or half, $300/hoggets), ducks, duck eggs, and produce. Abattoir and butchering services are available for an additional fee. Custom artwork is also for sale, with titles and prices listed on the farm gallery page.

Events

Upcoming events include the GET DUCKED FUN DAY on May 9, 2026, where participants can try moving stock without dogs. Herding clinics are scheduled for June 20–21 and September 12–13, with sessions tailored for newbies and experienced dogs. Rental fees range from $100–$300/day, depending on event type and requirements.

Location

Located in Glade, British Columbia, the farm is accessible via ferry from Castlegar and Nelson. It sits in a small rural community with on-demand ferry service across the Kootenay River.

Buying and Picking Up

Farm products can be purchased with cash, PayPal invoices (3% value added tax), or Interact E-transfer. Liability waivers are required for all participants. Ducklings from incubation can be picked up on day 3 post-hatch, with a minimum hatch of 10–12 ducklings.
