Brenneman's Meat Market

Brenneman's real strength, in my admittedly brief experience - I only stopped in once - is not in their meats, fresh and reasonable as they are. It's the other stuff: sausage making supplies, spices and BBQ rubs, old-timey treats like Brinser's Best cornmeal. That's why I'll be stopping in the next time I'm in Huntingdon.

They're always incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a great selection. I love that most of their products come from local farmers. Their sandwiches are fantastic.

I try to stop here every time I come back to the area to visit. They always have the good regional things I grew up with and either have difficulty or simply cannot get living in another state. A taste of home. It's nostalgic.

Super nice employees!! Best meat in town. Small store but quality food.

Ordered a pig to roast and wanted 100lb on the grill. Picked it up it definitely isn’t a 100lbs. Not to mention it’s all fat, extremely upset. I’ve been cooking pigs for many years and it’s absolutely the worst experience I have ever had.

Always prompt at having your order ready on time when promised. Meats are always fresh.

Had them cut up my half a pig from 4 seasons. The bacon was balled up and had to be untied like a knot. Breakfast sausage was plain with no seasoning. The hot sausage was was not hot. Also they added to much fat to the sausage making it render down way to much.

This was my first time there and the customer service was very good . They were very helpful and very nice . I will definitely be going back .

Wonderful quality and cuts of meat and welcoming and kind people who work there. Family owned and run. In addition to excellent meat, you can find spices, rubs, side dishes, salads, desserts and more. Thank you, Brenneman’s. We cooked for Juniata College men’s soccer alumni and your steak was a big hit. Also made a stuffed pork center cut that was delicious thanks to the quality of your meat.

Stopped in there today to specifically buy Reedsville Creamery bottled milk, which I was really happy they had in stock. Bought a few other things while I was there as well. Even though I live half an hour away from Huntingdon, it was worth the visit. The staff were friendly and very appreciative their customers. Overall, just a pleasant experience.

Great local, family owned business. A custom butcher shop and meat market serving area residents and businesses alike. They offer a wide selection of meats including beef and pork from local farmers. One can also find seafood, veggies, candy, and many grocery staples here. There's something for everyone. Their freshly made sandwiches and hoagies are available every day they're open. No need to go hungry! Deliveries to local businesses available.👍

Really nice people, super clean store, lot of good food options. I always enjoy the trip over to pick up our beef order and seeing all the other good ingredients and cooking products on their shelves. Awesome butcher shop!

This is an iconic business of Huntingdon. Very nice selection of meat and related items at a surprisingly reasonable price. This is the go to place for locally sourced meat products. Family owned and operated for over 70 years, the friendly and helpful staff can't be beat. The interior is a bit small and cramped. The building is mostly concrete, hence not the nicest looking. The only issue I've ever really had was the smell, which I assume is from the cleaning process. It's not exactly bad, but noticeable. I highly recommend checking out this local business. It may be small and out of the way, that's part of the charm of Huntingdon.

Amazing family owned store. They have a wide selection of local products! We go here to get our meat butchered during hunting season and stop by to get meat for any family gathering. They have a little bit of everything that you'd need. Definitely worth stopping by for your local groceries!

I had a very bad experience with the lady owner. I went to order some meat I told the manager to cut the meat in slices meaning steaks when I went to pick up the meat nothing was sliced the she tells me that I didn't want it cut does this means that I have to have a contract in writing even though I asked her to cut the meat after I paid for it she said that was impossible she didn't cut . One star is two much.

Fresh Ground beef that's worth every penny! Fresh cut T-bones....a dozen of there very own Pizza-Burgers(YUM)... and a 40ct box of campfire fun with John F Martin hot dogs! Thank you Joe Brenneman and the gang! One of the few family businesses left... and that's why... because they CARE!

THE BEST meat market. Bought steaks that were so tender and juicy they just pulled apart!! I also bought 'fresh' pork side & it was delicious! The employees were very friendly and happy. Thank you!

I have been shopping at this marvelous little store for many years. Not only is the personnel friendly and helpful but the products are always great. I would recommend them to anyone; in fact I do. Five stars are not enough to rate this establishment!

Never changed much over the past 50 years that I can remember. Faces have changed but the store still the same. I look forward to getting fresh meat that I feel comfortable knowing it's from local farms.
