Bradley Farm and RB Brew, LLC is a family-owned farm located in New Paltz, NY, that has been operating since 1995. The farm offers a variety of products including heirloom vegetables, naturally raised pork, eggs, pickles, spices, honey, and more, while also providing a venue for events and community involvement. They focus on sustainable farming practices and engage with the local community through markets and volunteer opportunities.
Great fresh food and fun place with petting zoo for the kids.
Addendum: And the control freak weighs in immediately! Oh, my facts are straight, all right. The point is the farm is being bankrolled by Iris, whether or not she takes any proceeds, and Ray is not a cash-strapped farmer in need of donations, as the marketing materials would have you believe. Iris complained to the editor of Ulster Magazine 10 years ago when I wrote a lovely piece about the farm because I found out that she owned it -- she bragged about it, in fact -- and thought we needed to state that up-front in the piece or kill it. I wanted to kill it. My editor published the piece without that crucial piece of information, and note that now she and the magazine are out of business. That's where unethical business practices will get you, and vice versa. Iris is a nasty, dishonest piece of work -- "the hostess with the leastest," as my friend Russ aptly described her. And I don't think too much of Ray, either, for accepting all those free goodies when his girlfriend/boss/owner of the farm with his name disingenuously plastered on it is rolling in dough. Great place, if you don't mind the fact that it's owned by a control freak named Iris Kimberg who sold a chain of health centers for $12 million before she bought the farm. So, when you're donating your time, your expertise, or your wine to Bradley Farm for its special dinners, you are actually donating to Iris, not to a cash-strapped local farmer, as marketing materials prepared by Iris would have you believe. Kind of gross, if you ask me.
Great little stop on the outskirts of New Paltz, family owned and friendly people. I definitely recommend this spot to others. Stop by and enjoy whatever is on tap at the moment.
