Just OUTSTANDING! No words! The produce is gorgeous; Mary and Aaron are kind and beautiful people. Ive been a member of their co-op since they started and dont have a single less than exemplarything to say about every single thing at this farm. A true blessing to our little part of the world!

We have been doing their CSA shares for a few years now. It is a wonderful program with fresh, good looking produce. In addition, Mary and Aaron are just the sweetest, nicest people imaginable. The way they go above and beyond to ensure we have the best produce is amazing. The weekly emails outlining the upcoming produce helps you plan ahead for meals. In addition, they are good to the small staff they have. We love Bluestem!

We have been members of Bluestem Farms CSA for over four years. We are grateful to Mary and Aaron for their commitment to providing high quality veggies and herbs grown at their Certified Organic farm. We look forward to getting our weekly veggie box, knowing it will contain clean, lovingly and locally grown veggies. We also subscribe to their egg and roasting chicken share program! In addition to the yummy goodness that we find in our box each week, Mary frequently provides recipes. And, she also provides suggestions for preparing veggies that we may not use on a regular basis. Bluestem Farm was a saving grace when moving up north in 2015. Access to healthy and organic food beyond the big box stores can be challenging. Mary and Aaron have made accessibility easy, with the ability to make choices that are tailor made for our family. As our family has grown and needs have changed over the years, we have been able to increase or decrease certain items to adjust accordingly. Bluestem Farm has top notch customer service and the owners are the salt of the earth. I am so grateful for them, their food, philanthropic hearts and the opportunity to eat organic, farm raised, healthy produce from right down the road.

Bluestem Farm is a gem — consistently wonderful produce, plus farm raised eggs, pork and chicken available as market shares or by request. Mary and Aaron and their staff are thoughtful, organized and make our pickup days at the Grain Train something to look forward to. Mary’s emails are a terrific glimpse at what we’ll find in this week’s box, complete with menu suggestions and links to recipes, plus the option of adjusting the box contents to match our taste buds. And their partnership with the Blue Plate project allows us to support a local food non-profit with direct farm-to-family food donations. Thank you Bluestem Farm for being such an important part of our community!

I have now bought 2 seasons of CSA farm shares from Blue Stem. The food is always fantastic. Huge fall vegetables, really healthy eggs. The folks there are helpful, friendly but professional farmers. I love these veggies so much, certainly worth the money and great to support an ethical family farm.

This CSA is awesome! Great produce and the Mary, Aaron, and their staff are super friendly. Also, well organized with good communication about pick-ups and what we'll receive each week. It makes meal planning super easy! You can also customize your share so you aren't getting things you don't like, which is pretty unusual for a CSA. I highly recommend Bluestem Farm!

Called the business two or three times no answer looked online said they were open 8 AM to 8 PM. Drove all the way there a half an hour away and nobody was around and couldn’t find anyone anywhere.

Bluestem Farm is awesome! We love the quality and variety of veggies in our vegetable shares all year long! Mary is great at providing ideas and recipes and I love the group on Facebook for realistic ideas of what to do with all the food in a busy week. We tried getting two chickens a month this winter and have been super happy with the chickens as well as the winter veg. We also do an egg share. There is nothing better than farm fresh eggs...unless it’s farm fresh veggies and meats too! We can’t wait to start year two!

Bluestem Farm has provided quality product to us for many years now, and helps inspire us to make our own food at home. We are able to craft our own box contents and supplement with items we like to grow in our small garden. We have had a veggie share, an egg share, and a pork share since the farm started, and it is perfect for us. I highly recommend supporting these awesome farmers.

Last summer I was introduced to Bluestem Farm and their delicious produce and this year I couldn’t wait to sign up again! Mary and her team are personable and care deeply not just about food but about nutrition and it shows! We absolutely felt connected to our food source in an intimate way and for the first time ate in nature’s rhythm, enjoying things seasonally. We learned there is nothing like a Michigan strawberry, perfectly harvested, small in size but mighty in flavor. Mary’s flowers graced our tables and her tea graced our mugs. Best thing about summer: our Bluestem Farm membership and Mary’s friendly greeting each week.

Bluestem Farm has been such a blessing to our family! Their winter CSA keeps us in local, fresh produce during the deep, dark winter. Being able to choose the vegetables that are included in our share is my favorite thing ever. Aaron and Mary are a true joy and pleasure to "do business" with!

I am so glad that I decided to do a CSA with Bluestem Farm!! Opening up my summer and winter share boxes is like Christmas morning every 2 weeks (I share an XS share with a friend)! The produce is always beautiful and delicious! I have tried many vegetables I had never had before (and had not seen before) and appreciate all the recipies shared in links at Bluestem Farm's great and easy to use website for every item in every box. My daughter in Ann Arbor is very envious of the bounty in my share wishing that she could have the same experience. I appreciate the kindness and extra mile that is extended by Mary and Aaron and all of the people at the farm. I highly recommend that you try a CSA, you will be glad you did!!

Bluestem veggies and meat are an essential part of our daily diet. Vegetables that are just-picked fresh and meat that is raised responsibly and organically are what’s important to our family! With all the choices we have for our food purchases it’s great to have the confidence that the vegetables and meat from Bluestem Farm are the best!

Their produce is fantastic! We are having an incredible CSA experience - with weekly emails detailing exactly what you will be getting, WITH recipe ideas, plus the ability to customize your basket if you have preferences. I’m extremely happy and would highly recommend Bluestem Farm!

We have been apart of Bluestems CSA program since it’s opening. Every year the veggies get better and the harvest bigger. Now they are planting fruit trees! And oohhhhh my the bacon. You must try the bacon. We also get chickens and eggs. It’s a one stop shop kinda farm experience . Mary and Aaron studied abroad to learn how to farm in our challenging northern Michigan climate. The veggies are dense with nutrition. They are my farmers for life! We are so thankful to have them here. They are keeping us all fed and healthy!

Best CSA I've belonged to! The quality and variety of food is excellent and they are generous with their portions. I was really surprised how nice and bug free the vegetables were since they are practicing organic farming methods. This has not been my experience with other organic CSAs. They offer lots of learning and networking opportunities. I love the weekly newsletter that is emailed to us - filled with interesting info including great recipes and tips. Can't wait to be a part of the winter share when organic veggies are extra appreciated.

I love the produce from Bluestem. The flavor is really outstanding. Fresh cabbage that is sweeter, in a pleasant way and not bitter, as-bought cabbage often is. Potatoes with a flavor and consistency far above that of even the organic ones that are found in the grocery store. Spinach that can only be described as, yummy ! Something that has really impressed me is the excellent keeping quality of the vegetables. I've never seen anything like it. The convenience of being able to pick out your order ahead of time and have it delivered on a regular basis to a pickup location is so much easier than shopping at a store. I'm learning vegetable fermentation and all kinds of new recipes. Vegetables produced without toxic chemicals are promoting human health and environmental health. If you're thinking about getting a share, jump in and do it.

The freshness and quality of the produce is top notch! We have enjoyed the purple potatoes, the yummy carrots, fabulous spinach and kale, the garlic, eggs, and so much more. It is great to be able to select items for the box so we can enjoy favorites and try new things.

Bluestem Farm grows the most delicious vegetables I have ever eaten. I have participated in both the summer and winter CSAs for two years and have never felt better. My whole family benefits from their amazing food.

I love my farm CSA. You can specify exactly what you get in each order and they have smal shares, perfect for single people! And, to top it off - Mary is delightful and has wonderful recipes that come with your food each week!

The food from Bluestem is so flavorful. The meats, eggs, herbs and vegetables have always been clean, fresh and well packaged. Delicious recipes are always provided, too. And sometimes there are fun surprises, like home grown popcorn!

We get produce, Chicken, and pork year round from Bluestem. We have been members for 3 years and have been always been pleased with their food. We have a new baby in the family and use the leftover vegetables to make food for her so nothing goes to waste.

My favorite farmers! "Ms. Mary" is the reason my kiddo's will try green foods! Their CSA program is completely customizable, relaxed, supported with recipes, and 1000% delicious!

Have been enjoying wonderful vegetables & eggs from Mary at Bluestem Farm for several years now. They are so personable and easy to work with. Couldn't imagine living without them.
