Blanchard Farm is a family-owned farm and farm stand that offers a variety of fresh produce, meats, and deli items. They focus on providing locally sourced products, including fruits, vegetables, and freshly sliced meats, while also hosting seasonal events like photo opportunities with Santa. The farm emphasizes a friendly, community-oriented atmosphere and aims to deliver high-quality, fresh food to its customers.
My family and I attended the photo opportunity that the farm advertised. The ad stated that photos could be taken in a red truck, from 10 AM-4 PM, either for free with your own camera or for a very reasonable $50 with their photographer. It stated the event was first come/first serve and if there was a line it would move quickly. Of course, the farm owners have no real control over the length of the line or wait time and I was prepared to wait, and hoped to have a professional photo of my child taken but also was prepared to take my own. I checked the social media posts several times before going to the event in case of updates and was surprised when we got in line at 1:30 PM to hear that the professional photographer had stopped taking photos. It was disappointing but we chose to stay in line to take our own photos. What I am most disappointed in is that the professional photographer did occasionally come outside and photograph some families but not others. When it was our turn, after about an hour of waiting, the photographer actually stepped in front of me about to put my 4 year old on the truck and said he had a booking and had to photograph them ahead of us - I expressed my frustration that they were no longer doing professional pictures but somehow were still doing them for some people, and were cutting ahead of people who had been waiting, and it seemed if it was not being offered anymore that it would be frustrating and very confusing to everyone else. The photographer said it was posted on social media to book ahead and all the posts I saw specifically said no booking was available or required. Most frustratingly is that I posted in the comments on the farm FB page about my disappointment and apparently my comments (which were not replied to) have actually been deleted. I was surprised to see that there were no other comments on social media sharing my opinions since there seemed to be others who were frustrated at the event, but seeing how my comments were deleted I imagine any others were as well. Those comments would have been helpful if seen beforehand as I would have elected not to go had I known the professional photos had stopped so early. I do understand that it must have been busier than anticipated, and I do believe there is kindness in the event being offered, but the lack of organization and professionalism in the event was frustrating and even more frustrating to see the lack of professionalism where any comment that is less than complimentary is deleted from the public page.
Showed up today with my four month old prepared to have a long wait time, and boy, were we lucky to have NO WAIT! First off, this place is straight out of a Hallmark movie, I love the atmosphere. We learned that the photographer and the girl checking us in (both in their 20’s) set up this entire thing. This is their second year doing this and I think they’re rockin’ it! Santa was super nice and absolutely rocked it with our son. They were all so nice and we hope they do this for many years to come because we’d like this to be our new tradition with our son. We should be receiving our photos in 1-2 weeks. If anything changes we will update our review. The 45 minute drive was worth it!
I happened to go by your stand on my way home from a camp, visiting my grandson, saw the sign corn & peaches! I stopped and got 2 ears of corn and 4 peaches, then I saw the little pies! I had to get one, I got the berry pie, it was delicious!! The peaches and corn were also delicious and so fresh! So happy my phone directions brought me by your stand! Thanks for the wonderful produce! Sharon from Warwick
What a Beautiful Family Farm. Many items like pumpkin ravioli, Buono bread, pies and if course fruits and veggies. Much more also. At Christmas time, their Santa home With Santa is second to none. Not commercial feeling. Peyton does a extreme pleasing job with Landon to make your little ones feel like they are actually at Santa's Home. PUT ON YOUR CALENDAR. A great place anytime of year. Truly amazing gem of a place. Picked that day fresh produce. Freshly sliced meats. Great staff that are friendly. Incredible pricing. The deli sandwiches are prepared when you order them. The meats are sliced right after you order, and bacon for the blt is sliced fresh and then fried. Beyond compare. This place makes me wish I could give more than 5 stars.
New owners are great! lots of new products come in all the time. Wide variety of imported cheeses and fantastic staff!
Have been going there for over 30 years friendliest man I've ever met works and owns the place! Also he makes the absolute best and biggest sandwiches for very cheap!! My favorites the Italian!! This place has been in business for over 100 years and they truly do it right here!!
The store may seem small, but you can buy italian blue cheese imported from Italy. Among other items like homemade pepper relish sweet and hot, and crafted dolls for decorations, small bundle of hay, ect.
I stopped in today 7/12/20 for the first time and wanted some eggplant I found them to be very friendly and very helpful and surprised to see a good quality of meats and seafood along with a nice selection of dry goods. Say hello to my new friends♥️
Sonny is a nice guy and takes pride in providing the best products available. The steaks melt in your mouth with that incredible amazing beef flavor. Try the Vermont cheddar cheese cut fresh off a big wheel. You will be totally satisfied with everything and enjoy the drive thru beautiful scituate.
This is the gem you've been looking for. Fresh fruits and vegetables direct from the folks who grow them. Oh, and the deli is well stocked with gourmet delights. But what gets me driving long distances to go to Blanchards?.... the sandwiches. Yes, made with quality meats from the deli and fresh vegetables from the field. Some of the BEST Italian subs are made here. Kick the "Subway" habit, and stop by Blanchards.
Been comin' here for over a quarter century. Locally (read: on-site!) grown vegetables and apples, as well as locally procured meats are featured at this farm. Located on Route 116 in scenic North Scituate, this generational family farm is the epitome of a small-town, hard-working, American farm/farm-stand. Open 7 days a week.
Best place for beef & fresh fish. The owner is so friendly & helpful. You can order steamers from Branchards, when they are available. (So Fresh)
50 dollars for 3 pictures sent to a email… not what I expected especially with the 1 1/2 hour wait. Not worth it
Great apples, delicate honey, delicious cider. Helpful owner and thoughtful help. Pumpkins and squashes add to the green fall produce.
All the peaches I have purchased here the last few weeks have ripened beautifully over several days, and were so delicious!
First time there. Fresh vegetables, seafood and meats. Prices are a little high, but worth it for farm freshness.
It's a quaint country stand, they even have deli meat, pumpkins, apples, mum's, good stuff for your fall decorating and eating pleasure.
Little pricey, but always good fresh produce. Corn is best around.
Love this farm. Have been coming here for years and don't plan on stopping. Everyone is so nice and helpful.
