Had a great experience at Bar and Ranch! The woman at the front desk, Rachelle, was so helpful planning our trip and with recommendations. Absolutely beautiful property - it was so nice drinking my coffee from the balcony and by the fire in the morning. S'mores were such a fun touch. Only complaint was the bathrooms in the room desperately need an update and weren't very clean.
We absolutely loved our stay at Bar N Ranch in West Yellowstone! From the moment we arrived, the charm of the property and the warmth of the staff made it feel so special. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay …

What a great, charming hotel.|We stayed here for a few nights as a base for touring West Yellowstone. The hotel was just about perfect for what we needed - our lodge was enormous (4 bedrooms with room about 12 guests) even though there …
The ranch is lovely, and the view is amazing. The common areas and rooms are attractive enough, and the beds are comfortable. However…when we checked in, we were told breakfast was included, when it was, and where it was. What we were not told is that they shut the restaurant down for the season part way through our stay. When we asked about it, they acted like we should know and were fairly rude about it. They do not give us bottled water upon check in. There is no elevator and no air conditioning. Our rooms were on the second floor, and we had to carry our luggage up and down. The room was not clean. There was visible dirt and dust all along and on the baseboards. The bathroom was like a sauna no matter what we did. We never did find the source of the heat but the radiator was not on. This didn’t help our efforts to keep the room cool even with the bathroom door shut. There was no divider on the shared balcony, and we had to keep the door and window open when we slept since there is no air conditioning. We didn’t love that lack of privacy. Our coffee pot in our room didn’t work and was our only option for coffee for early morning tours. Also, the coffee, sugar, and sweetener were in canisters, which didn’t seem sanitary as who knows how long they were there and who touched them. Same for the unwrapped coffee filters. And, since no bottled water was provided, I assume we were to use bathroom water to make it. When my husband asked for creamer at the front desk, they gave him an open quart container of half and half. There were unsealed s’mores bags near the front desk, and I think the same ones were there when we checked in as when we checked out. The corn hole boards out back are warped, and the bags have holes and are filled with rocks/gravel. We felt like more of a nuisance than guests. Overall, you must be paying for the location and view. Because the rest is lacking. To be fair, we hear this is a common theme of hotels in West Yellowstone, so maybe we should have expected less even for the price we paid, which seemed high for what we got. I think we’d have been happier if it was just clean, and we were treated better.
We had an amazing stay at Bar-N-Ranch! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was …
The large 4 bedroom cabin exceeded expectations. Food at the restaurant was the best we had locally. Really enjoyed the fire pit. Definitely recommend considering this location as a base for your Yellowstone adventure.
We recently stayed here for our Yellowstone trip and this place was amazing. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms. All of the staff here were beyond amazing. They offer special amenities like s’mores kits, fresh baked cookies, coffee and more. They have some great onsite activities that guests can do like corn hole, roping, take a walk on the property, games, etc. They also have a heated pool. There is a restaurant on site, but we did not dine there. They are about a 5 minute drive from town. Our lodge room had a jetted tub and a porch with a view. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Check out our fury little friend who came to visit one evening while we were watching the sunset. They offer various types of lodging from cabins, to luxury tents and lodge rooms. They also have bear spray you can borrow.
Dear owner, look for AJ and stop dodging the issue. Yes, we stayed here day before. We checked in after 10. We messaged asking for a broom and mop since it was after 10 and no one responded. We stayed for one night. Booked an expensive 2 bedroom cabin. Writing this while staying here. The FLOORS ARE FILTHY AND DISGUSTING. THE MANAGEMENT OR THE STAFF DO NOT BOTHER CLEANING FLOORS. There is soil, footprints and sticky nasty patches. We checked in at 10pm and this is not what I expected to come to.
A nice alternative to the lower grade rooms in West Yellowstone near the same price point. QUIET - which was much appreciated. The restaurant is a nice alternative to the crowds and noise of West Yellowstone. Would go back.
We were visiting Yellowstone in late May and we had a blast there. We loved the location and amazing views from our cabin. The cabin itself was very dated but clean. The only surprise was that we had bats leaving in our cabin’s attic which would be very lovely if they weren’t such noisy animals. They squeak and move a lot and in the middle of the night. The staff was very defensive about it telling me we are in the wild so that’s normal (this is $500 cabin not a tent though, right?) and they asked me if I am willing to pay more for bigger cabin if they have one available (well no, I paid for this one already) and at the end they sent me a message offering a white noice machine. I don’t think the management handled it right by us but the Yellowstone was so beautiful and we only had two more nights to stay there so we decided we won’t ruin our vacation because of that situation and we enjoyed the rest of the stay. Would I stay there again? No! But now I tell everyone the storie of the bats in the cabin! Also bats are protected until the end of September so I'm sure they are still in cabin 8 if you want to have your own bat story to tell :)
